Agile Team Benchmark for ARAG Insurance

The Issue at hand

ARAG wanted insight into the performance of the team managing one of its Salesforce applications, the quality of the custom Apex code its Accenture development team had built, and whether gaps in requirements analysis were driving rework.

The Service Provided

We did an Agile Team Benchmark on one ARAG team, covering:

• The quality of the user stories (requirements) written for the team.

• Team performance — productivity, cost efficiency, delivery speed, and process quality — benchmarked against the market.

• The proportion of custom code and the quality/maintainability of the custom Apex code.

The outcomes achieved

The assessment gave ARAG management insight into the quality of both its user stories and its Apex Salesforce code, plus the productivity of the measured team, along with concrete recommendations to improve quality and reduce risk. Despite clear room for improvement in both user story quality and the Apex code, the team's measured productivity in the release assessed was already better than market average.
